Anita Lal (Poetic Justice Foundation), Dr Neha Gupta (UBC Okanagan) and Dr Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra (Belonging Matters) are continuing the conversation on caste in Canada in the second event of the Community-University Engagement Support project at the UBC Okanagan campus.

In the panel, Overcaste: Unsettling Caste, Power and Belonging on Stolen Land we have a real talk on caste, South Asian settlement in Canada, and what solidarity actually looks like amongst South Asians and Indigenous Peoples. The panel features Dalit feminist scholar Dr Shikha Diwakar, Indigenous scholar and activist Ty Bryant, and author of Indians on Indian Lands, Dr Nishant Upadhyay, in conversation with UBCO professor Dr Neha Gupta. Join us for this important conversation on March 5th at UBC Okanagan.
